熊手とは / About KUMADE
熊手は祭りで売られていた農具です。酉の市は江戸時代から行われています。その起源は諸説ありますが、東京都足立区の大鷲神社で行われていた秋の収穫祭から始まったと言われています。祭りが一年の繁栄と幸運を祈る祭りへと発展していく中で、もともと市場で農具として売られていた熊手が縁起物として持たれるようになりました。熊手の形が鷲が獲物を掴む姿に似ていることから、「福を掴んで逃がさない」という意味と、落ち葉を集めることから「福を集める」という意味が込められています。この作品は、そんな熊手をイメージしてデザインされた帯結びになります。

This piece is an obi knot designed with the image of such a KUMADE in mind.
